I was wondering if there are any real jobs out there that I could do from home?
Everything I have come across so far has been nothing but scams.
I am a single parent to 3 young kids and need to find a way to make extra cash from home.
I don’t mind what it is as long as it puts food on the table.
Does anyone know of any work from home jobs that aren’t scams.
I am in the uk if thats any help.

Start a blog and add adsense on it. There are many people doing it.
You can pick up info all over the net, use google, search bloggers or professional bloggers.
The idea is to have a place with good info about something, then people will visit it.
If you have ads on your pages when people click on the ads you get paid.
Each click will only generate a small amont, even only 0.05 but the more traffic the more clicks.
Depending on the topic you choose to talk about, clicks can be worth more, it’s all a matter of testing and see what works.
All tools are out there to make your life easier.. at first it is very little money if any at all but when it starts to come in it will happen all by itself.

It isn’t fast but if you want to put food on the table at least a little - you can write..
http://www.ehow.com/how_4551818_money-articles.html after writing for sites without deadlines you can write for examiner or for other places that pay. You can also check ehow for sites of work at home that are bona fide… for instance some make money on zazzle or doing surveys. Look for authors with good reputation.

yes there are, finding them is the problem

I work for a children’s charity and work from home

my husband runs a small business and works from home

Also childminders work from home, as do people who do Avon, Kleeneze, Ebay etc

what about becomchildminderminder, lots of mums with young children do it where I live

there are small genuine jobs that you can do from home, Some companies employ seamstresses and needleworkers to sew from at home. If you know any independant shops selling handmade lampshades etc you could offer your services. occasionally you may get something like addressing envelopes for mailshots.
or you could do a training course and become a registered childminder.
You could advertise yourself and do clothing alterations or hand knit garments to order privately.
You could advertise and look after peoples hamsters, budgies etc while they are on holiday for a fee.
You could train in aromatherapy or hypnotherapy and start a business at home.
You could make birthday and other occasion cakes in personal novelty shapes and themes to order.
When you have children and want to work from home it is usually easier to run your own business - rather than trying to find employers who are prepared to come to you, but you do need some skills and commitment and self discipline to succeed.

After many years of looking, I have yet to find an online "job" that was not a scam of some kind. I am skeptical that there are any legitimate jobs out there at all.

Your situation, where you are relatively unskilled, and desperate for money, puts you in the highest risk category for being scammed and cheated.

So, if you must persist in looking for "online" or "work at home" jobs, I strongly suggest you be extremely careful and discerning.

Do not send money to anyone promising you a job - not for anything - like buying a "demo" kit, or buying a "starter kit", or for membership, or for "background check", etc , etc.

Never ever give out your Credit card number, or your bank account number. Never.

I really wish you well, and hope you find something to bring income, but I doubt very much that you will find it in the form of an online or work-at-home "job".

eBay is a good option. Start selling stuff on it. It is flexible, easy to learn, and you can make good money.
You can work on your schedule and do as much as you need or want to. You can fit eBay in around other things in your life.
